Responsibilities and Duties
- Act as initial contact for all internal technical support required for computer workstation hardware and software, telephone, network, operating system, printing, and internet access problems.
- Escalate the issue and communicate with vendors for solution when necessary.
- Perform installs, upgrade, moves, and changes for computer workstation hardware and software, printers, and other peripherals.
- Coordinate with vendors to update, maintain, and repair hardware, phone operating system, and network to ensure optimal performance.
- Identify and order necessary equipment and components to ensure smooth Company operations.
- Manage and maintain Company software applications including user credentials, master files, backup files, and logs.
- Other duties as required from manager.
Qualifications
- Fluency in Japanese at the Basic Conversational level is a must.
- Associate’s Degree or above required. Bachelor’s Degree in information technology or other related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience as IT Technician or other relevant experience preferred.
- Ability to adapt to frequent changes in assignments and workload.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of software and operating systems.
- Communication and interpersonal skills.
