A Japanese-affiliated electronics manufacturing services company is seeking an Accounting Staff member to join its U.S. accounting team. This position will support a broad range of accounting activities, including payment processing, journal entries, financial closing, audit coordination, statutory documentation, and manufacturing cost accounting.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Process payments and prepare accurate journal entries for day-to-day accounting transactions.
- Review journal entries prepared by other accounting team members and ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures.
- Manage standalone and consolidated financial closing activities in coordination with the accounting team and the corporate accounting department in Japan.
- Prepare monthly accounting reports and supporting financial documentation for management review.
- Coordinate external audit activities and provide requested schedules, records, and supporting materials.
- Prepare statutory documents, including license applications and tax-related filings, and perform manufacturing cost accounting and other consolidation-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- At least five years of combined professional accounting experience in Japan and the United States.
- Professional work experience in both Japanese and U.S. business environments.
Broad hands-on accounting experience, including payment processing, journal entries, financial closing, audit support, and cost accounting. - Ability to coordinate with a corporate accounting department in Japan and support consolidated financial reporting activities.
- Business-level English proficiency is required; business-level Japanese proficiency is preferred.
- USCPA, financial analyst, or other relevant professional certification is preferred.
