A Japanese-affiliated technology and technical content solutions company is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new business creation and business expansion across B2B markets. This position will focus on consultative, solution-based selling by identifying customer challenges and translating them into business and technology proposals. The role is responsible for managing opportunities from initial market analysis through proposal development, customer engagement, and deal closing.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Analyze market and industry trends across automotive, industrial, and other B2B sectors.
- Identify and define customer pain points through direct client engagement and market research.
- Drive solution-based sales by proposing tailored business and technology solutions aligned with customer needs.
- Create and deliver client presentations using PowerPoint or similar tools.
- Develop and maintain relationships with new customers, strategic partners, and key stakeholders.
- Own the full sales cycle, including opportunity creation, proposal development, client negotiation, and deal closing.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or business strategy.
- Strong understanding of the automotive, industrial, or broader B2B business landscape.
- Proven experience in consultative or solution-based selling.
- Ability to proactively identify opportunities and lead new business initiatives.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in growth-stage businesses, new business initiatives, data-driven solutions, process optimization, or AI-enabled products is preferred.
