Responsibilities and Duties
- Full cycle responsibilities for assigned Ocean/Air Import shipments, including documentation, ISF filing, customs brokerage and inland transport, etc.
- Trace and track shipment status closely and provide shipment updates to related party timely from departure to arrival of cargo.
- Assist with the communications with carriers when issues arise.
- Make recommendations with regard to routing, carrier selection and assist to meet customer requirements.
- Prepare invoice, bill of lading and other freight related documentation for commercial freight invoices and for ocean & air cargo.
- Ensure all supporting documents are accurate, available and applicable to the customer order/shipment.
- Assure shipments are invoiced on time following company guidelines.
Qualifications
- High School diploma, or equivalent with at least 2 years’ experience in the logistics field or in a related area.
- Fluency in Japanese - Professional Working to Native level is required.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite and logistics software.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal in English.
- Good management and organizational skills.
- Extreme attention to detail, including the ability to predict and circumvent issues before they occur and taking the proper corrective action.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
