Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist logistics manager oversees all daily transportation activities for main warehouse, including a small warehouse team and a lead.
- Work with the other department heads to assign daily duties to manage the successful delivery of items to our 3rd party network as well as product procurement.
- Ensure regular inspections and operations in a manner that promotes food and general safety, in compliance with OSHA, FSMA transport, FMCSA, AIB, and SQF standards.
- Utilize transportation management software – including logistics, trailer capacity, and site constraints – to improve responsiveness to delivery requests and nimbleness with changes and exceptions as they arise.
- Maintain good housekeeping and accurate inventory levels.
- Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse operations knowledge is mandatory. Sit Down Forklift Experience is desirable.
- Fluency in Spanish/Japanese is a big plus./li>
- Excellent punctuality and attendance with problem solving and root cause analysis skill.
- Willing to wear face mask, hairnet, smock, and safety shoes are to be worn at all times, while inside of plant.
- Willingness and ability to work in wet, ambient, hot to cold environments.
- Must be able to lift 30-40 pounds infrequently.
- Should be able to work long hours and able to work overtime when required, as per the business needs.
