Responsibilities and Duties
- Identify and approach prospective customers, including café owners, distributors, and retailers.
- Follow up on leads generated through trade shows and other outreach activities to develop new accounts.
- Conduct customer visits, phone calls, and email outreach to understand needs and present relevant products.
- Build lasting customer relationships through consistent follow-up and ongoing account support.
- Attend trade shows and industry events, and maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with the CEO on sales initiatives and help establish effective approaches to business development.
Qualifications
- Business-level Proficiency in both English and Japanese.
- A minimum of 2–3 years of sales experience, particularly in prospect outreach, sales presentations, and ongoing follow-up throughout the sales process. A background in Japanese tea or Japanese food-related businesses is a strong plus.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a genuine interest in pursuing a sales career.
- Initiative, persistence, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and refine your approach.
- A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to make frequent customer visits.
- Experience selling tea, food, or beverages, or working with cafés, retailers, or distributors is a plus; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
