Additional responsibilities (30%) include network engineering.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide effective and efficient system engineering support during the conceptual design, detailed design, integration, and test phases of a product development program and production delivery, with the goal of achieving on-time completion of assigned tasks.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in the areas of troubleshooting, testing, configuration management, and product quality.
- Communicate regularly with team members to ensure that work specifications are being followed and that any problems with deadlines or adverse conditions are reported and addressed promptly.
- Monitor systems for network alerts and events so quick response can be provided and issues can be pro-actively addressed.
- Work with vendors, application developers, database administrators, corporate IT, and other technology groups to resolve any problems
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Fluency in Japanese - Professional Working to Native level is required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience
- Deep understanding of the architecture, design and implementation of multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing solutions
- Previous experience configuring, troubleshooting and operating Linux and LAMP stack applications.
- Ability to work in a team environment and work effectively with people with diverse technical skills.
- Broad knowledge of development tools, application frameworks, and testing tools
- Strong desire to learn new skills and apply knowledge to solve unique challenges and improve the team.
