This position is with a Japanese-affiliated insurance brokerage and risk advisory firm operating in the United States, serving primarily Japanese corporate clients.
This role will support business growth by executing business development and marketing initiatives, contributing to sales strategy, and strengthening relationships with prospective and existing clients.
The role is responsible for research, client engagement support, sales process execution, and cross-functional coordination across insurance product lines.
Professional-level Japanese language capability and experience working with Japanese corporate clients are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Support business development and sales initiatives by tracking sales progress, market conditions, and business goals, and sharing insights with internal stakeholders
- Research market trends and prospecting approaches, and provide recommendations for client solutions across insurance product offerings
- Prepare sales reports, operational updates, and presentation materials for senior management and executive-level audiences
- Coordinate and support client meetings, including gathering information on current insurance programs and future needs
- Execute structured sales activities such as prospecting, planning, presentations, and follow-up to support new business acquisition
- Collaborate with internal teams to support quality assurance processes, risk reviews, upsell opportunities, and client retention strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- At least two years of experience in sales, marketing, or business development, preferably involving Japanese corporate clients
- Professional-level spoken and written Japanese, with strong English communication skills
- Experience marketing business services or solutions to Japanese clients
- Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills with the ability to work independently
- Proficiency with standard business tools such as Microsoft Office; insurance-related licensing is considered a plus
