Jr. Accountant
The optical technology company is seeking a Jr. Accountant. In this role, you will be responsible for managing accounts receivable and payable, supporting month-end closing procedures, and performing daily bank reconciliations. You will also handle invoice processing, expense reimbursements, and provide support for internal departments and external vendors to resolve accounting discrepancies.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage accounts receivable and payable, including invoice processing and report generation.
- Handle daily check deposits and verify remittances against business accounts.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and support month-end closing tasks.
- Review purchase orders, expense reports, and credit card receipts for compliance and accuracy.
- Communicate with vendors and departments to resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Assist with customer billing, collections, and follow-ups on outstanding payments.
- Maintain accounting records and support special projects and sales administration as needed.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Knowledge of US GAAP.
- Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite (Oracle) experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, etc.).
- Experience in preparing and analyzing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration, including with international teams.
- Bilingual in English and Japanese is a huge plus.
- Hands-on experience with Excel Macros and Power Query is considered a strong plus.
- Comfort and openness to utilizing AI tools to enhance work efficiency is strongly valued.
