Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform quality reviews and inspection of documentation and practices to ensure compliance with regulations and standards such as FSMA, Fishery, Proposition 65, and USDA.
- Act as the Company liaison with regulatory agencies, and certification organizations such as Organic, Kosher, and Halal.
- Review and verify food labels follow guidelines and regulations.
- Analyze food items at specified stages in the production process for compliance to specification (e.g. rice)
- Maintain proper department conditions and supplies (e.g., bottle redemption).
- Other duties as required to support on-going business needs.
Qualifications
- Fluency in Japanese - Professional Working to Native level is required.
- Knowledge of food labeling requirements, FSMA(Food Safety Modernization Act ) and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) preferred.
- Posess strong communication/interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
- In-depth knowledge of Asian cuisine is a big plus
- Ability to work independently and in group settings with creativity and flexibility.
