Responsibilities and Duties
- Obtain quote from suppliers and decide the best purchasing option.
- Input the supply source decision of each part number in the MRP (Material Requirements Planning) System.
- Check and reduce the total acquisition cost of all material such as transportation, customs, storage, ordering costs, etc..
- Maintain database with updated information on unit prices, L/T, minimum order quantity, payment terms, etc.
- Release PO/FCST to suppliers, monitor delivery schedule, pull-in/push out delivery if necessary..
- Proactively interact with key client’s management to gather information, resolve problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements.
- Perform other job-related duties as necessary.
Qualifications
- Fluency in Japanese - Professional Working to Native Level is required.
- At least 3 years of experience in using MRP in the electronic component purchasing (EMS) environment is ideal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel).
- Knowledge of Finance, Logistics and Supplier development.
- Prior experience with inventory control of electronic components.
- Ability to analyze complex data and make strong business decisions.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Must be organizational, detail oriented, and possess good analytical and negotiation skills.
