Responsibilities and Duties
- Oversee monthly accruals and recording of month-end journal entries while managing a small team of accountants.
- Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing process and ensures timely completion and accuracy.
- Perform consolidated balance sheet analysis and fluctuation analysis to formulate a story for presentation of results to the Controller’s office.
- Manage internal/external reporting needs and analyze financial results across multiple legal entities.
- Partner with key contacts at various levels of the organization and identifies opportunities to improve standard work procedures.
- Support external audits by facilitating the provision of data to external auditors and responding to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Develop annual budgets, short and long-term financial projections.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance related field.
- Fluency in Japanese - Professional Working to Native Level.
- Minimum 5 years’ of accounting experience, preferably in a plant/manufacturing environment of 500-1000 employees, in the Automotive industry.
- Strong leadership and proven ability to manage and develop the team.
- Ability to deal effectively and professionally with a wide variety of people and situations in a team environment as well as independently.
- Effective interpersonal communications skills and attentive to customer and team member needs.
- Effective, professional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information in a clear and concise manner.
- Willing to follow Mexico holiday and work in Tijuana office when Covid-19 situation settles.
