Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage and grow sales activities across a nationwide territory, with a home base in a key market such as Chicago or South Carolina, and travel as needed to support customers throughout the U.S.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to promote specialized materials and solutions to manufacturing customers.
- Identify and cultivate new customers, applications, and market opportunities to expand product adoption and revenue.
- Serve as a trusted partner to customers by understanding technical requirements and proposing appropriate solutions in collaboration with internal teams.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs, and provide insights to support strategic planning and forecasting.
- Prepare and maintain accurate sales reports, forecasts, and activity updates to support effective business decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant sales experience.
- Several years of B2B sales experience, preferably within manufacturing, chemicals, materials, or industrial products.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently in a field-based, travel-intensive role covering a broad geographic area.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience adapting sales strategies to diverse customer needs.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently on a national basis.
