Responsibilities and Duties
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments and ensure the accuracy of logistics documents.
- Handle import/export procedures, transportation arrangements, and schedule management.
- Prepare and manage B/L (Bill of Lading), L/C (Letter of Credit), and customs-related documents.
- Track shipment status and communicate promptly with related parties, including customers, suppliers, carriers, and internal staff.
- Manage delivery and shipping schedules to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Communicate with customers via phone, email, or in person. Respond to inquiries, handle complaints, and adjust delivery schedules.
- Track shipments and provide prompt, professional support to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, phone calls, and faxes. Organize documents, make copies, greet visitors, and perform other administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Ability to effectively respond to questions from Management, Staff, clients, and the general public in English. Fluency in Japanes is a plus.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply knowledge and sense of understanding to carry-out detailed written or oral instructions.
- Ability to analyze and use various documents (contracts, purchase orders, etc.).
- Ability to use a computer and such applications as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint and be able to design custom reports as necessary.
- Must be tactful, mature, flexible and able to successfully respond to multiple work pressures.
