Responsibilities and Duties
- Research and plan the most appropriate route for shipments considering the nature of items and the requirements set by customers.
- Arrange appropriate packaging considering the climate, weight, nature of goods, costs, delivery and warehousing of goods at the final destination.
- Obtain, check and prepare any required documentation to meet customer and insurance requirements.
- Coordinate with third party vendors to transfer items smoothly in accordance with customer requirements.
- Arrange payment of freight fees and other associated charges and issue invoices to customers according to the mutually agreed quotation.
- Supervise the activities of subordinate employees and assume the managerial role when the Assistant Manager/Manager are unavailable.
- Perform special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Manager.
Qualifications
- More than three years of relatedexperience and/or training; or equivalent combination of higher education and experience.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or higher.
- Fluency in Japanese - Professional Working to Native level is required.
- Proficient with software including Windows operating system, MS Office.
- Fluency in Japanese - Professional Working to Native Level is must.
- Problem resolution skills and process oriented, effective time management and organizational skill.
- Ability to work independently and manage/supervise teams.
