Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform inspections across all stages of food production and document reports.
- Create and organize product spec sheets and prepare a letter to complaints.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, as well as company standards and specifications.
- Create and modify product spec sheets/product labels as needed.
- Support daily, weekly, and monthly quality testing, inspections, and procedures.
- Sample, test and document food made daily using Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP).
- Maintain and enforce quality assurance procedures to ensure Company is compliant with best practices for food safety
- Reports all food safety and quality issues with urgency to both Production and Sales Managers.
Qualifications
- College Degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control for food.
- Knowledge of food safety, FIFO/LIFO, HACCP & GMP guidelines.
- Computer skills: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Email.
- Bilingual a plus (English, Spanish, Japanese) is a big plus.
- Willing to work in production facility environment – loud ambient equipment/machinery, operation of equipment/machinery.
- Phisically able to carry, lift, push, pull up to 20lbs.
